The flat roofs are insulated with 5cm insulation instead of the normal 2cm and the pitched, ceramic tiled roof incorporates 5cm insulation below and 3cm above. Soil drains are to English standards. The house has been plastered externally but internal plastering has been delayed, pending clients exact requirements on positions of all TV, telephone, power and lighting points, and locations of all sanitary fittings.

The permitted building plans for the two additional residences are projecting both
at the ground floor (53,60m²) a big living area with fireplace, kitchen with dining area and shower room, and at the first floor (37,75m²) two (2) bedrooms and one (1) bathroom. As the construction has not begun yet, the prospective owner can change the internal layout of the rooms.

The building permits are valid until 2011 and can be extended without any costs another two (2) years.


These Crete properties for sale are located at the foot of the Lefka Ori, close to the village of Fres. The village with a population of 400 has a nice  square, with taverns, kafenia and small shops. The area is noted for its magnificent cypress trees and is one of the greenest regions in Crete.
