The house for rent can be entered through two doors, one leads into the fully equipped modern kitchen with dining area, sitting corner once a big fireplace, and courtyard with BBQ; and the other opens into the lounge with large fireplace. Furthermore one will find a storage area which has connections for a washing machine in place, and one (1) bathroom fitted with shower, basin and toilet.
A wooden staircase is leading up to the first floor, comprising of one (1) large open bedroom/study, one (1) smaller bedroom, and a big terrace offering wonderful views.
Solar panel is fitted, and internet might be possible only with a "dongle" (mobile internet via USB)
Location
The village is built amphitheatrically on the mountain slope at an altitude of 160m, between two gorges. It is one of the historical villages at the foot of the Lefka Ori (White Mountain) and it overlooks the fertile plain of Apokoronas, with its sources, rivers and ancient vestiges. The Cretan Sea spreads out in front of it, with the sandy beaches of the bay of Kalyves. Despite the fact that the village remained apart from the noisy crowd of the busy roads and tourism of Crete, it is easily accessed. It is located at a distance of 4km from the national road, at 23km from the city of Chania, at 18km from the harbour of Souda, and at 28km from the airport.
